Weldi, Between Two Seas and Musk Participate at the Festival International du Cinema de la Diversite Taza in Morocco


MAD Solutions boasts three films at the 2nd Festival International du Cinéma de la Diversité Taza that will be held from July 22 to 27, in Morocco. The three films distributed by the company are; Egyptian film Between Two Seas by director Anas Tolba, Emirati Film Musk by director Humaid Alsuwaidi, and Tunisian film Weldi by director Mohamed Ben Attia.

The second edition of Festival International du Cinéma de la Diversité Taza aims at spreading the cinematic culture among the inhabitants of the province of Taza by screening a series of feature and short films from different countries around the world, organizing workshops, cultural events, exhibitions and other activities. It also aims at introducing the natural and historical qualifications of the city and marketing it through organizing field visits and tours for the festival guests from Moroccans and foreigners.

About Between Two Seas:

Directed by Anas Tolba, Between Two Seas won two awards at the Brooklyn Film Festival, in addition to two awards during its premiere at the Aswan International Women Film Festival (AIWFF).

Written by Mariam Naoum, based on a script by Amany El Tounsy and Karim El Dalil, the film stars Fatma Adel, Yara Goubran, Tharaa Goubail, Mahmoud Fares, Arfa Abdel Rassoul, and Lobna Wanas. The film is produced by Axeer (executive produced by Abdelrahman Al Garwani), the UN Women, and the National Council for Women. MAD Solutions handles the film’s marketing and distribution in the Arab world.

About Musk:

Directed and written by Humaid Alsuwaidi, Musk won the Best Film award at Al Ain Film Festival and landed its world premiered at the Festival International du Film Transsaharien de Zagora in Morocco. Musk stars Mohammed Ahmed, Suhail Aljneibi, Dhaen Juma, and Manahel Alawadi. The film is distributed worldwide by MAD Solutions.

About Weldi:

Written and directed by Mohamed Ben Attia, Weldi made its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival and competed in the Official Competition of El Gouna Film Festival, where Tunisian actor Mohamed Dhrif won El Gouna Star for Best Actor. The film won the Grand Prix at the Festival du Film Méditerranée de Bastia in France. Produced by Dora Bouchoucha’s Nomadis Images, Les Films du Fleuve and Tanit Films, Weldi stars Mohamed Dhrif, Mouna Mejri, Zakaria Ben Ayed, Imen Cherif, Taylan Mintas and Tarik Copti. The film is distributed in the Arab world by MAD Solutions.
