With the Attendance of Their Directors
The Shorts Shrimp and Mirrors of Silence to Screen at the RFLCT Creative Arts Center
The films Shrimp by Yaser Al Neyadi and Mirrors of Silence by Nawaf Al Janahi are going to screen at the RFLCT Creative Arts in Abu Dhabi, UAE, with the attendance of their directors. Shrimp is going to screen on Tuesday, June 5, and Mirrors of Silence is going to screen on Wednesday, June 6.
Promoting openness, empowering expressions and creating a channel on which different cultures can interact, RFLCT Creative Arts Center bridges the gaps and functions as a platform on which people would de-stress, express and create.
About Shrimp (Robian):
On a weird night, a group of people is brought together under absurd circumstances and they express their darkest sides and most twisted desires. The film received the Best Director Award within the Muhr Gulf Short competition at the Dubai International Film Festival (DIFF).
Shrimp is written and directed by Yaser Al Neyadi and stars Khalid Al Nuaimi, Mohamed Saleh, Hanan Alblooshi, Sultan Alshamisi and Khalid Ali. Shrimp is distributed in the Arab world by MAD Solutions.
About Mirrors of Silence (Maraya Al Samt):
In a modern city, a young man is confronted by a distressing loneliness; will he succeed in overcoming it? Directed by Nawaf Al Janahi, the short film Mirrors of Silence won the Second Prize for Best Film at the MuslimFest Film Festival in Canada. It was the only Emirati film to screen in the official competition of the 3rd Dubai International Film Festival (DIFF). The film also screened at more than 20 film festivals in more than 15 countries, including the Oran International Arabic Film Festival in Algeria and the Ismailia International Film Festival for Documentaries and Short Films in Egypt. Mirrors of Silence is distributed in the Arab world by MAD Solutions.
