Six Awards from Arab Cinema Center's Partners to CineGouna SpringBoard Projects


Six partners of the Arab Cinema Center (ACC) presented monetary awards to the projects participating in the CineGouna SpringBoard, one of the initiatives organized by the CineGouna Platform within the 3rd El Gouna Film Festival, which is also one of the partners of the ACC. The six partners: Arab Radio and Television Network (ART), Lagoonie Film Production, iProductions, Ergo Media Ventures, Art City, and Rotana presented their awards to projects that are in the development phases.

ART:
$10,000 to the film project Daughters of Abdul-Rahman, by director Zaid Abu Hamdan

Lagoonie Film Production:
$10,000 to the film project Severed Head, by director Lotfi Achour

iProductions:
$10,000 to the film project Straight to the Goal, by director Tamer Ashry

Ergo Media Ventures:
$10,000 to the film project Straight to the Goal, by director Tamer Ashry

Rotana
$10,000 to the film project Daughters of Abdul-Rahman, by director Zaid Abu Hamdan

Art City
$5,000 to the film project Looking for Sa'adah, by director Areen Omari

Organized by CineGouna Platform, CineGouna SpringBoard is a project development and co-production lab that enables Arab film directors and producers with projects in development or films in post-production to find creative and financial support.

CineGouna Platform is an industry-oriented event created to support and empower filmmakers and industry professionals, aiming to develop promising film projects from Egypt and the Arab world and help them find artistic and financial support. CineGouna Platform presents the CineGouna SpringBoard and the CineGouna Bridge, which are programs that provide opportunities for sharing and learning through workshops, panel discussions, and master classes led by industry experts.

Organized by MAD Solutions, the Arab Cinema Center (ACC) this year celebrates its fifth year since its inception in 2015. A non-profit organization registered in Amsterdam, the ACC is an international promotional platform for Arab cinema as it provides the filmmaking industry with a professional window to connect with their counterparts from all over the world through a number of events that it organizes. The ACC also provides networking opportunities with representatives of companies and institutions specialized in co-production and international distribution, among others.
