Shereen Reda Celebrates the World Oceans Day with the UN


Egyptian star Shereen Reda cooperated with the UN in celebrating the World Oceans Day by taking part in a video to promote for keeping coastal areas clean and free of garbage.

Reda said in the campaign's video, "Our oceans are in serious trouble, nearly 70% of the world's fish stocks are now fully-fished, over-fished or depleted. About 20% of the world's coral reefs have been destroyed. We can help restore our ocean's health, if we act now. I will try to help protect our environment and seaside from garbage and plastic."

The World Oceans Day is considered one of the most important events of the UN in 2017. It aims to remind everyone of the major role the oceans have in everyday life. The conference is joined annually by many celebrities from all over the world including Leonardo DiCaprio, Adrian Grenier, and Businessman Richard Branson.

Reda plays in the new Ramadan series La Tottfea Al Shams that shows now on CBC at 8:18 pm and on CBC Drama at 11:00 pm. Lately, Reda finished shooting her scenes for the new film Photocopy opposite superstar Mahmoud Hemida and directed by Tamer Ashry.
