Screening Times of Kamla Abouzekri's A Day for Women at the BFI London Film Festival


The BFI London Film Festival has announced the screening times of director Kamla Abouzekri's film A Day for Women on the 6th and 7th of October. Produced by Elham Shahin, the film is landing its world premiere at the 60th edition of the festival within the Debate Strand section.

In one of Egypt's shabby neighborhoods, a youth center decides to allocate one day on the swimming pool for women only. A Day for Women follows the consequences of this decision on the social, psychological and emotional life of the women living in the neighborhood.

Written by Hanaa Attia, A Day for Women stars a number of magnificent old and young stars including; Elham Shahin, Mahmoud Hemida, Farouk Al Fishawy, Ahmad Al Fishawy, Nelly Karim, Eyad Nassar, Nahed El Sebai, Ahmed Dawood and Hala Sedqi. The film is directed by Kamla Abouzekri and produced by star Elham Shahin through her company Shahin Film and MAD Solutions is handling the distribution and marketing for the film.
