Saba Mubarak's Pan East Media Partners Up With the Arab Cinema Center

Run by Jordanian star Saba Mubarak, Pan East Media joined the Arab Cinema Center (ACC) as one of its partners to accompany the center at more than 20 international film festivals and markets during 2017. Pan East Media is going to accompany the Center to the 70th Cannes Film Festival this month marking its first festival since the beginning of its partnership with the ACC.

Pan East Media joined the ACC's partners list only a few days after the Center has signed a new partnership with the Tripoli Film Festival - Lebanon. The ACC made notable achievements at the festival's latest edition that closed last week.

Pan East Media is a media production company established in 2011 by Jordanian actress Saba Mubarak with a main objective to create a genuine audio-visual content in Jordan and to present first-rate artistic work on both regional and international levels. The company started its production activity in 2013 with the Jordanian comedy drama TV series Zain, which aired on multiple TV networks including MBC and Abu Dhabi One. The TV series follows Zain, a woman in her thirties who struggles to revive her father's business after his death and her troubled relationship with the family. A second season of the TV series was made after the success of its first season. In 2014, the company produced the TV series Tawq Al Asphalt, a Bedouin, historic drama series inspired by Shakespeare's Hamlet that shows the lives of Bedouin tribes in the early 20th century and the conflicts that took place between them over power, grazing lands and honor. The TV series aired during Ramadan 2014 on Abu Dhabi One.

The Arab Cinema Center (ACC), organized by MAD Solutions for the third year in 2017, is an international promotional platform for Arab cinema as it provides the filmmaking industry with a professional window to connect with their counterparts from all over the world through a number of events that it organizes. ACC also provides networking opportunities with representatives of companies and institutions specialized in co-production and international distribution, among others.

The Arab Cinema Center's activities vary between film market main wings, introduction and networking sessions for Arab and foreign filmmakers, welcome parties, as well as meetings with international organizations and festivals, and the issuance of the Arab Cinema Magazine to be distributed at the leading international film festivals and markets.
