Mai Wael's NEB TAWY to premiere at Zanzibar International Film Festival
Mai Wael’s short NEB TAWY is set to hold its world premiere on Tuesday, June 27th at 2 pm at Marumaru Fountain as part of its participation in the Zanzibar International Film Festival, which will be running from June 24th until July 2nd.

The film follows a young woman who began working with her uncle in the illegal excavation of artifacts after her father’s death. As the days go by, she does everything she can to keep her father’s memory alive until one day, she realizes something that will turn her life upside down.

Starring Nancy Salah, Remas, and Mahmoud Hagag, NEB TAWY was directed by Mai Wael — who co-wrote it with Mohamed Ali Mansour — and produced by Raion Production Company. Meanwhile, MAD Solutions is handling the film’s worldwide sales and distribution.

Wael is a graduate of Egypt's Higher Institute of Cinema that has worked as an assistant director on several films, collaborating with some of Egypt's and the world's most prominent directors. Her filmography includes two short films.
