As part of its long-term strategy to support and promote the Arab film industry, MAD Solutions will offer an award to the winning film project within the MAFF Market Forum (MMF) at the Malmö Arab Film Festival (1-3 October), for the second year in a row. MAD is offering the same award at the 3rd edition of the Takmil Workshop (1-3 November), which comes as part of the 50th anniversary celebrations of the Carthage Film Festival (JCC). The MAD award includes the company's promotional and distribution services for the winning films in the Arab world.

As a representative of the Malmö Arab Film Festival, Producer Josef Kullengård comments, "We are very glad to have MAD Solutions with us as for the second round of the Doc Post Production Platform to give out the award for distribution and marketing within the Arab world. It is a fundamental part of the Platform, not only to provide post-production for new Arabic documentaries, but also to provide the possibility of distributing and marketing for their films."

On the partnership with MAD Solutions, Azza Chaabouni, Director of the Takmil Workshop comments, "Now in its third edition, the Takmil Workshop is aiming to help promising African and Arab films to come to light and is honored to start a partnership with MAD Solutions as its grant is a precious input for the circulation of Arab films at a regional and International scale."

Art Director Maher Diab, Co-founder of MAD Solutions, comments, "The collaboration with the MAFF and Takmil Workshop is an important step for us, especially because the Malmö Arab Film Festival is a unique event that brings the Arab films to the Swedish audience, and the Carthage Film Festival is one of the oldest film festivals in the Arab world and has a prestigious rank worldwide. We at MAD are pleased with our role in pushing films from across the Arab world into the international arena."

Under the umbrella of its Arab Cinema Center (ACC), and on the continuing partnership with the Final Cut in Venice workshop, MAD Solutions had previously offered the award for the winning projects at the Locarno International Film Festival in Switzerland, and the MAFF Market Forum (MMF) at the Malmö Arab Film Festival.

The MAFF Market Forum (MMF) is a unique platform for the Nordic and Arab film industry providing opportunities and introducing initiatives to facilitate distribution and co-productions. The initiative is designed to promote cultural exchange and co-operation between the Nordic countries and the Arab world. The main aim of MMF is to bring together producers, financiers and film professionals through informative and practical program activities, pitching venues, network sessions and much more.

For three days (1-3 November), Takmil Workshop is an extension and evolution of the Project Workshop which was created in 1992 and during ten consecutive sessions, the workshop has supported many African and Arab talents for writing their scripts. Initiated at the 25th session of the Carthage Film Festival (JCC) in 2014, Takmil Workshop aims to enable African and Arab filmmakers to confront their films in the stage of post-production to the expertise of an international jury who will allocate post-production grants to the most seven promising films. The list of selected films that came to light in the previous Takmil Workshop editions includes; the award winning film Hedi by Director Mohamed Ben Attia, which won the Best First Feature Award and the Silver Berlin Bear at the 66th Berlinale, In the Last Days of the City by Director Tamer El Said, which won the Best Director award at the Buenos Aires International Festival of Independent Cinema (BAFICI), and Divines by Director Houda Benyamina that won the Golden Camera award at the Cannes Film Festival.
