Director Sherif El Bendary's film Ali, the Goat and Ibrahim will be screened (29 June - 12 July) at VOX Cinemas at Mall of the Emirates within the DIFF 365@VOX initiative, which is organized by the Dubai International Film Festival (DIFF) for the very first time, supported by du - Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company. In addition to being the first Arab film to be screened within this new initiative.

The administration of the DIFF has launched this new initiative in cooperation with VOX and du to enable film fans to watch the best independent films that present different perspectives. These films were well-received by movie-goers especially that they are not usually released in cinemas in the UAE throughout the year. Supported by du, the films will be screened in a new movie theater dedicated to the festival's films and named DIFF 365@VOX, located at VOX Cinemas, Mall of the Emirates, Dubai.

Ali, the Goat and Ibrahim follows a strange love story of a young man living in a rough neighborhood. He travels across Egypt on the recommendation of a psychic along with Ibrahim who is almost driven mad by the voices he hears in his head. Their journey turns into a voyage of friendship and self-discovery.

Ali, the Goat and Ibrahim is directed by Sherif El Bendary and written by Ahmed Amer, based on Ibrahim El Batout's story. The film introduces two acting prodigies; Ali Sobhi (Ein Shams - 2009) and Ahmed Magdy (The Gate of Departure - 2014), who star alongside Salwa Mohamed Aly and Nahed El Sebai.
