ACC Partners Up with the Carthage Film Festival and Signs a Sponsorship Agreement with .Film Domain

The Arab Cinema Center (ACC) has revealed its new partnership with the Carthage Film Festival, in which the festival will be part of ACC's activities at international film festivals and markets, where it aims to promote Arab cinema. ACC also signed a sponsorship agreement with .Film Domain, a dedicated and authoritative domain space provider for the Film Industry.

Director of the Carthage Film Festival, Ibrahim Letaief, expressed his pleasure by the new partnership with ACC, saying, "On the occasion of the 27th edition of the Carthage Film Festival, which is also its 50th anniversary; we are honored to count you among the partners of the Arab Cinema Center. Both sharing the same purpose promoting Arabic cinema, it is certain that this collaboration can only be beneficial and lead to great results."

On the new partnership, Patrick Donaldson, General Manager of MPDR, commented, "Since launching
.film, Motion Picture Domain Registry has been set on providing a domain namespace that is dedicated to the film industry". "MAD Solutions clearly saw the opportunity of having a short domain name that stands out like www.mad.film and we are thrilled to be working with them and their partners. "Donaldson added.

Created in 1966, the Carthage Film Festival is the oldest event of its kind on the African continent and the Arab World. The festival was hosted every two years until it became an annual event ever since its 2014 edition. Since it was first created, the prestigious Carthage Film Festival is always devoted to screening remarkable Arab and international films, with recognition to their filmmakers. This year, 2016, the festival celebrates its 50th anniversary within its 27th edition (October 28 - November 5).

.Film domain provides an exclusive, dedicated and authoritative domain space for the Film Industry that allows consumers across the globe to engage directly with content relating to films, organizations, products and services. .Film domain is launched by the Motion Picture Domain Registry (MPDR) to deal with internet piracy by reserving the domain name for film content only to prevent cyber-squatting from unofficial third-party sites. .Film domain name space also introduces exclusivity, trust and a standard that the film industry can universally support to drive consumers to authoritative content, increasing Film Industry revenues.

Earlier this year, ACC revealed its year-round partnership with Variety magazine as the Center's media partner; in addition to a digital partnership with Festival Scope and a technology sponsorship with
Striim.in to promote ACC's events in 2016.
