In Her Second Role as a Poor Girl

Yasmin Raeis Awaits Men Dahr Ragel's Premiere


Superstar Yasmin Raeis is currently awaiting the release of her latest film Men Dahr Ragel in cinemas, which she stars opposite of Asser Yassin. She has finished filming most of her scenes in the film which is expected to be released soon.

On her role in the film, Yasmin said, "I play a simple and uncomplicated role of a girl living in a poor neighborhood who dreams of falling in love but her thug brother stands in her way." She added, "The film caught my attention when I read the script and spoke with the writer and director. I chose to take part in it because it had all the elements of a successful project, including actors, a talented writer, and an ambitious director."

Men Dahr Ragel revolves around a boxing enthusiast (Asser Yassin) who dreams of becoming a famous boxer and is in love with a girl (Yasmin Raeis) who lives in a poor neighborhood and suffers under the hand of her thug brother (Walid Fawaz). After his success, he faces many challenges that turn his life upside down. Written by Mohamed Amin Radi, the film is directed by Karim El Sobky and stars Mahmoud Hemida, Sherif Ramzy, Yasser Galal, Sabry Fawaz, and Mohamed Lotfy.

Yasmin had previously played the role of a poor girl in The Factory Girl by director Mohamed Khan, a role for which she won 6 awards and was honored several times: Best Actress Award at the Dubai International Film Festival 2013, Best Actress Award at the Malmo Arab Film Festival in Sweden, Best Acting Award (Females) at the 18th Egyptian National Film Festival, Best Leading Actress at the 41st Egyptian Association Festival, Best Actress Award at the Silk Road Film Festival in Dublin (Ireland), and most recently Yasmin received a Special Mention by the jury within the Longs-métrages competition the Festival International du Film Oriental in Geneva.
