The Golden Harvest Screens at Mall of Emirates

The Golden Harvest by Aliaa Yunis will land its UAE premiere at the Theatre hall within Mall of the Emirates on Saturday, 26 September, at 08:00 PM.

Recently, the film was an official selection at the 7th Food Film Festival (20-24 August) in Italy, received Best of Fest at the Minneapolis St. Paul International Film Festival (MSPIFF), USA, where it had three full-house screenings, landed world premiere at the Thessaloniki Documentary Festival, Greece in 2019, and took part at the Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Festival.

Written and directed by Alia Yunis, The Golden Harvest follows 6,000-year old love story in which the filmmaker tries to understand the profound, often troubled, relationship between olive oil and the people of Mediterranean, including her own father. Her journey of food, love and heartache takes her to unexpected places as diverse characters get involved in unraveling this tale. The film is distributed in the Arab world by MAD Solutions.
