Dual Identity Posts through the Day and Night

The Curious Case of Sheikh Jackson's Page

The official Facebook page of director Amr Salama's upcoming new film Sheikh Jackson started expressing the film's idea by posting quiet religious posts during the daytime while other exhilarating posts about music at night. Star Ahmad Al Fishawy is in the lead role of a young religious man who suffers from his old passion for the music of the King of Pop Michael Jackson which made him change his look during filming, the thing that grabbed the audience's attention on the social media platforms.

This dual strategy in posts aims to involve the audience directly into the same condition of the character of the film; the conflict between love of music and life, and the sense of guilt towards that at the same time

The events of the film take us back to 25 June 2009 as the news of Michael Jackson's death took the world by storm affecting many, especially a preacher who is dubbed "Jackson" during his school days. But, what does a preacher have in common with the King of Pop? More importantly, can he now go back to his normal life, or will his memories and relationships with his loved ones raise the most prominent question in his mind? Is he the Skeikh, Jackson, or both?

Co-produced by The Producers and Film Clinic, Sheikh Jackson is written and directed by Amr Salama and co-written by Omar Khaled. The film stars Ahmad Al Fishawy, who previously collaborated with Salama on Zay El Naharda (On a Day Like Today), alongside Maged El Kedwany, Ahmed Malek, and Amina Khalil. The film will also feature several guest stars, including Dorra, Basma, and Mahmoud El-Bezzawy.
