Studio ZAT Organizes Filmmaking Workshop Mentored by Director Mohamed Nader


Studio ZAT will host a new filmmaking workshop that will be conducted by director Mohamed Nader. The workshop will begin on Sunday 17 April and will continue for three months. The registration fees for this workshop are set to be 700 L.E.

The workshop will introduce the participants to filmmaking fundamentals from A to Z; learning the basics of film directing, cinematography, screenwriting and digital editing. The workshop will also introduce the participants to the elements of making an independent film with low budget. By the end of the workshop, each participant will develop a graduation project which will be mentored by professional trainers through all of its development phases.

Graduated from Faculty of Law, director Mohamed Nader is a passionate director who studied screenwriting, photography, editing and directing, and worked as an assistant director in documentaries, short films and music videos. Nader wrote and directed short independent films including; Salwa which won the Best Actress and Best Editing awards at Youssef Chahine Short Film Festival. Nader's latest film, After Love won the First Prize award (Best Director) within the Feature Films Competition at
Alexandria Mediterranean Countries Film Festival. Nader is currently teaching in various filmmaking and script-writing workshops in addition to writing a long feature film.

Studio ZAT aims to offer specialized workshops for amateur and professional actors to advance their craft. Participants are taught by Egyptian and foreign trainers within a suitable environment. The studio also offers an acting workshop, which includes special training concerning cameras, theater, filmmaking for beginners, theater direction, body dynamics, scriptwriting, as well as acting workshops for children aged 8 to 12 to bring out their creativity and enhance their communication and storytelling skills.
