Shereen Reda Receives Wide Acclaim on Social Media Platforms


For the second year in a row, Egyptian star Shereen Reda deservedly racks up wide acclaim from critics and audiences alike on social media networks for her astounding performance in two TV dramas this Ramadan; Al Mizan and Fouk Mostawa El Shobohat. Twitter and Facebook pages soared up with praises and complementary notes by esteemed film critics as well as fans.

Renowned Critic Essam Zakaria wrote in Al-Bawaba News, "Through her role in Fouk Mostawa El Shobohat, Reda has hit another level of performance. I expect that this will define a turning point in her career path as a very capable actress."

Al Youm7 newspaper described Reda's performance saying, "She adds that special something to every role she plays that makes it indelible through years. Her presence in TV dramas every year has become essential and quite indispensable."

Emirati Critic Ola Al Sheikh in Emarat Al Youm newspaper praised Shereen Reda's performance in Fouk Mostawa El Shobohat saying, "Shereen plays a key role in the TV drama as a gossipmonger who enjoys spreading gossip in the compound where she lives. Your reaction to such a character can be confusing; at times you would sympathize with her, at other times you would disapprove of her actions, but certainly her presence plays an essential role in catapulting the events as it unfolds in the upcoming episodes."

Reda's success is quite evident through her official Facebook page as it is joined by more than 30.000 new fans within only five days of Ramadan with more than 500.000 reaches. On Twitter, 3.3 million tweets about Reda have been shared in addition to 3.4 million re-tweets about her.

In 2016, Shereen Reda received the Best Actress Award at the 42nd Egyptian Cinema Film Association Festival for her role in Out of Order. Most recently, Reda participated in 3 films;
Kedbet Kol Youm, Nawara, which had its world premiere at Dubai International Film Festival (DIFF) in 2015 and Hepta: The Last Lecture, which generated more than 20 million EGP in ticket sales, holding the record for the highest-grossing romantic film in the history of Egyptian cinema.
