Dedicated Online Video Line-up for ACC's Activities on Festival Scope

Partnership Agreed between the Arab Cinema Center and Festival Scope for Cannes Film Festival

With preparation underway for the second edition of the Arab Cinema Center (ACC) during the Cannes Film Market (Marche du Film), MAD solutions has revealed a partnership agreement with Festival Scope to create a dedicated online video line-up that will cover the ACC's activities organized by MAD Solutions, part of its strategy to encourage filmmaking in the Arab world and promote it even further.

Festival Scope is an online B2B platform for film professionals who present films selected at the 90 film festivals they work with. Additionally to promoting the partner film festivals, Festival Scope aims to increase the visibility of independent films and expand their potential beyond the festivals dates. It offers filmmakers the opportunity to promote their films and to benefit from the visibility among the worldwide film industry.

Alessandro Raja, the CEO and founder of Festival Scope commented on the partnership with MAD Solutions. "We are very pleased to partner with the newly launched Arab Cinema Center. Within just a few years Festival Scope has grown and is able to promote films and festivals from all over the world. This cooperation with the ACC is the natural choice to promote upcoming filmmakers and quality cinema from the Arab world".

Taking part in the second edition of the ACC are 18 companies and organizations from 8 Arab and European countries, with a variety of activities such as production, distribution, funding and promotion of Arab cinema, such as: Ministry of Interior's Cinema Award (UAE), Film Clinic (Egypt), Imaginarium Films (Jordan), The Producers (Egypt, UAE), Crystal Dog (Egypt), International Oriental Film Festival of Geneva (Switzerland), The Friends (Egypt), Seat 26 (Lebanon), True Motion (Egypt), The Robert Bosch Stiftung (Germany), Cinema Akil (UAE), Silk Road Film Festival (Ireland), Luxor African Film Festival ETISAL Market Fund (Egypt), Salam PROD (Egypt), The Iraqi Independent Film Centre (Iraq), Free TV (Egypt), MAD Solutions (Egypt, UAE) and Rotana (KSA).

This second edition of the ACC comes after the success of the first one at the European Film Market (EFM) during the Berlin International Film Festival this last February, which included 11 companies and organizations involved in cinematic industries in the Arab world, where the average daily visitor reached over 1500 people, and more than 20 international film festivals have shown interest in the ACC to encourage the participation of more Arab films.

The ACC is an international platform that promotes Arab cinema by providing Arab filmmakers a window of opportunity to communicate with other international filmmakers through a number of activities organized by the ACC, which facilitate networking between production companies and co-producers, distributers and more.

Cannes Film Market is the biggest film market in the world, which saw more than 960 films presented last year. The Film Market was established in 1959 to serve the many disciplines of the filmmaking community. The market attracts more than 10,000 film professionals annually from over 100 countries. The Cannes Film Market will take place between May 13 -22 2015.
