Me and the Cinema Features Hend Sabry on MBC2


MBC2 channel has revealed the news about hosting Tunisian actress Hend Sabry on one of the episodes of its new project Me and the Cinema that's been airing recently on its screen. Through out the episode, viewers will get to know about the prominent actress's achievements in the film industry. It will also highlight Hend Sabry's most important works and the effect of the international film industry on her career, especially Hollywood.

Produced by MBC2, Me and the Cinema is a short sequence of fillers, about 3 minutes per each. Through which the viewers will get to know about the prominent figures in the film industry. The fillers will be shown repeatedly throughout the day during the breaks. The show will bring the focus on five Arab filmmakers weekly. In addition to Hend Sabry, Me and the Cinema will feature Hany Abu Asaad, Ali Mostafa, Younes Bouab, Nabil Ayouch, Ali Soliman and Mohamed Diab among other leading figures.

As an actress, Hend participated in Damascus International Film Festival as a jury member in the Feature Film Competition in 2007. Similarly, in 2012, she was the head of the feature narrative jury at the Doha Tribeca Film Festival where she supported independent Arab filmmakers. In October 2012, Sabry was the Co-director of the 2nd TROPFEST Arabia, the world's largest short film festival, which was held in Abu Dhabi where she selected sixteen finalists with the festival director John Poulson.
