Film Critic Samir Farid, Festival President of Cairo International Film Festival (CIFF), has selected Pantelis Voulgaris' Little England to be the screen at the closing-night of the
festival's 36th edition which runs from 9-18 November.

Little England is the most recent works of Voulgaris -a big-name auteur in the history of Greek and international cinema - that gained a chock-full turnout on the time of its screening in Greece. The film has also earned the Golden Goblet Award for Best Feature Film at the

Little England (160 minutes) is a 1930- drama set in the Greek island of Andros - locally known as Little England in token of its bounty riches - where two sisters living in the same house fall in love with the same man.

The Greek cinema has been chosen to be the 36th CIFF's National Cinema Guest of Honor in celebration of the 100th anniversary of Greek's first film production. The festival will allocate a historical program in collaboration with the National Greek Film Centre by showcasing a string of feature - length films from Greek cinema. The program will be moderated by Film Critic Rami Abdel-Razek.
