Film Clinic Denies Rumor that a Security Agency Requested a Copy of Clash

Following the rumor that has been released in one of the most important newspapers and news websites yesterday concerning a demand made by a security agency to view a copy of the film Clash for approval, we, the production company would like to clarify that no security agency has made any request to view the film, either directly, indirectly, or through the Film Censorship Authority. While the Authority has viewed the film during a private screening held in a movie theater, it has not acquired an actual copy of the film.

Several news websites have published the misinformation, stating that the Censorship Authority sent a copy of the film to a security agency for approval and that there are demands for the film to be banned.

Clash tackles the political unrest that prevailed in Egypt in 2013. Co-written by Khaled Diab and
Mohamed Diab, who is also the director, the film is a co-production between France, Egypt, Germany, and the UAE. The cast includes Nelly Karim, Tarek Abd El Aziz, Hany Adel, Ahmed Malek, Ashraf Hamdi, Mohamed Abdel Azim, Gamil Barsoum and others.
