Dr. Georgette Savvides Starts Shooting Her Scenes for Bani Youssef TV Series
Gina Selim has started shooting her scenes for Bani Youssef TV series, featuring superstar Yousra, as she published a photo of her with Producer Gamal El Adl at one of the TV series' filming locations on her Facebook and Instagram accounts.
Dr. Savvides is landing her first acting role with her stage name Gina Selim. The TV series is produced by El Adl Group and is set to air next Ramadan. Bani Youssef stars Shereen Reda, Ahmed Hatem, Naglaa Badr, Mohamed Shahin, Salma Abu Deif and Hazem Ehab. The series is written by Abdalla Hasan, Amin Gamal, Ibrahim Mohsen and Khaled Abu Bakr and directed by Mohamed Ali.
Besides her acting role in Bani Youssef, Gina Selim signed with El Adl Group to serve as the Counseling and Occupational Psychologist, through her company Psychealth Counseling and Training Services, for Bani Youssef'screw to help them understand the psychological dimensions of the characters.
Last Ramadan, Dr. Savvides offered her Psych-cinema service to the TV drama 30 Youm, starring Asser Yassin, Bassel Al Khayat, Waleed Fawwaz, Naglaa Badr and Injy El Mokkaddem, as a Consultant Clinical Psychologist for the cast. 30 Youm is a co-production between SelMedia, Trailer Art Production and Distribution and Max Production. The TV drama is directed by Hossam Ali, written by Mostafa Gamal Hashim and the script is written by Clockwork Temptation under the supervision of Ahmed Sahwky.
Psych-cinema service aims at offering psychological counseling service for actors, writers, directors and filmmakers who are eager to introduce real characters through their cinematic works. The service includes collective workshops for filmmakers with specific or direct consultancy. The utmost goal behind this new service is to build the interface between film and psychology, shape the characters to meet realistic standards, support and provide the research based material for the portrayal of psychological themes in film, series and plays and train the actors into realistically mimicking characters with psychological buildup or difficulties.
Counseling and Occupational Psychologist, Dr. Georgette Savvides, received her professional Doctorate in Psychology from European and American universities. Being a member of several prestigious scientific associations and institutions, Dr. Savvides is set with a goal to change the way the Egyptian society perceive patients with psychological disorders, and raise awareness of mental illness and methods to deal with it. She worked as a consultant for several international companies including Vodafone, Coca Cola, L'Oreal, Henkel, Oracle and CIB. She also released her first book titled My Journey that has been listed among Al Kotob Khan's Top 10 Best Selling Books. Dr. Savvides is the Founder and Owner of Psychealth Counseling and Training Services in Cairo. She also writes for several magazines and has appeared on a number of TV programs that aim to raise awareness for mental health issues.
