Director Hadi El Bagoury Wins the Gold Award at Dubai Lynx 2016


Two of director Hadi El Bagoury's TV commercials won the Gold award under the Film category at 10th Dubai Lynx International Festival of Creativity, which honors the region's best work in advertising and TV commercials.

The two winning TV ads are part of a commercial campaign for EDITA's new products of its iconic Molto croissant that was titled 'Everyday Needs a Hug'. Hadi El Bagoury used the magical realism style to introduce these two products, blending the reality of the Egyptian street with fictional characters.

The Dubai Lynx International Festival of Creativity is an annual event that aims to bring together talents and innovative minds in the Arab World and North Africa, and from all over the world, in order to honor the region's best work in advertising. At the festival, the advertising work is subject to an assessment by a distinguished international jury committee.

Recently, Director Hadi El Bagoury revealed that he has wrapped up filming Hepta: The Last Lecture, which is based on Mohamed Sadek'sbest-selling book under the same name. Featuring a long-list of stars, the film moved to the editing phase and is set to be released in theaters soon.

The screenplay is based on Mohamed Sadek's best-selling book, which portrays the seven stages of love through four paralleled stories. Mohamed Sadek's bestselling novel topped the charts in Egypt and throughout the Arab world for several weeks, and sold 36 editions since its release in 2014.

The film cast list includes: Amr Youssef, Maged El Kedwany, Ahmed Malek, Ahmed Dawood, Dina El Sherbiny, Yasmine Raeis, Jamila Awad, Hany Adel, Ahmed Bedeir, together with Salwa Mohamed Aly, Kinda Alloush, Anoushka, Mohamed Farag, Nelly Karim and Shereen Reda. The film is produced by The Producers, which is co-founded by Hani Osama and Hadi El Bagoury. The cinematic adaption of the film is scripted by Wael Hamdy, and Directors of Photography Gamal El Boushy and Leo Carbotta, alongside Production Designer Hend Haidar and Production Manager Mohamed El Hady.
