After Their Success in Halawet Al Dounia

Dhafer L'Abidine to Star in Beelink's Upcoming Series Next Ramadan

After their previous successful collaboration on the TV series Halawet Al Dounia, last Ramadan, Dhafer L'Abidine will once again work with Beelink Productions by starring in their upcoming TV series, which is set to air during the next Ramadan season.

The new TV series is adapted from a Spanish series and will be written by Ingy El Kassem and Samah Abdel Khalek, starring Dhafer L'Abidine and Yasmine Sabri. The rest of the cast are currently being decided upon.

Lebanese theaters will screen the film Habbet Caramel, co-starring Dhafer after his previous successful Tunisian and Egyptian projects in the Arab world. Habbet Caramel is based on the successful Lebanese TV series Caramel that he starred in last Ramadan. The unprecedented success of the TV series within the Arab world prompted its quick adaptation into a film.

Habbet Caramel will be released on the 21st of December, during the Christmas holidays. The film's production company Eagle Films released the trailer of Habbet Caramel that was one of the most-viewed YouTube videos in Lebanon.

Together with L'Abidine, the film features a number of stars from the TV series such as Maguy Bou Ghosn, Talal El Jordi and Jessy Abdo. Habbet Caramel is directed by Elie F. Habib, written by Mazen Taha and produced by Eagle Films. The film tells a number of love stories with strange and interesting events.

Most recently, L'Abidine finished shooting his scenes for the American TV series North 40. The series is based on the book The Looming Tower written by Lawrence Wright. The book that received 15 awards and honorable mentions including the Pulitzer Prize, offers a historical look at the way through which Al-Qaeda came into being and the events that led to the September 11 attacks. The shooting is taking place between the USA and South Africa. North 40 features Alec Baldwin, Jeff Daniels and Tahar Rahim, and is produced by Hulu.
