Baheya Foundation Honors Star Hend Sabry and the Cast of Halawat Al Dounia


On Saturday, star Hend Sabry joined a charity Sohour organized by the Baheya Foundation for Early Detection and Treatment of Breast Cancer, where she was honored for her role in Halawet Al Dounia TV series that is being aired during the Ramadan season. In Halawet Al Dounia, Sabry plays the role of a woman who is diagnosed with cancer shortly before her wedding. After absorbing the shock all by herself, she begins to reshape her new life and unexpectedly falls in an unexpected love story.

The Sohour was under the motto of "Today's Dream is Tomorrow's Reality" and was attended by a number of stars, public figures, officials, and ministers. During the event, the foundation has honored the cast and crew of the TV series in appreciation of their role in raising awareness of cancer and supporting the patients.

Since its airing, Halawet Al Dounia has received a wide acclaim, especially between Egyptian females. Breast cancer is considered one of the most spread types of cancer in Egypt. During the airing of the fourth episode, hashtags of Hend Sabry and Halawat Al Dounia were amongst the top trending hashtags on Twitter, as the series ranked the third and Sabry ranked the seventh on the list.

A few days ago, Hend Sabry revealed, through her official Instagram account, the participation of the recovered breast cancer patient in the TV series, Yasmin Gheith. Sabry praised the positive energy, love of life and determination that Yasmin added to the TV series.

Alongside Sabry, the new TV series stars Dhafer L'Abidine, Mostafa Fahmy, Anoushka, Hanan Motawie and Hany Adel. Directed by Hussien El Menbawy, Halawat Al Dounia is written by Sama Ahmed and Engy Al Qasem, under the supervision of scriptwriter Tamer Habib and produced by Beelink Productions (Producer Mohammad Mashish).
