Ahmed Malek Wins the Award for Best Supporting Actor at the Egyptian Cinema Film Association Festival


Young star Ahmed Malek won the award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in
Sheikh Jackson film at the 44th Egyptian Cinema Film Association Festival. This marks the film's second award at the festival after actor Maged El Kedwany's Best Actor award. Malek is going to receive his award at the festival's awards ceremony on February 10.

Recently, Malek finished shooting his scenes for the new film Gunshot. He is getting ready to shoot his scenes for Al Deif (The Guest) film, directed by Hadi El Bagoury and written by Ibrahim Eissa, which was announced at the 14th Dubai International Film Festival (DIFF).
Gunshot and The Guest are both produced by iProductions.

During the 2017 edition of DIFF, Screen International selected Malek among the five promising Arab stars in the Stars of Tomorrow programme (Arab Stars of Tomorrow).

Sheikh Jackson film, which features Malek, is currently showing in Egyptian theatres. The film has been selected as Egypt's official submission to the 2018 Academy Awards for Best Foreign-Language Film. Malek was recently chosen by the board of the Shnit Worldwide Short film festival as a jury member of the Realtime Competition.
