3000 Nights Takes Part in Palestinian Season to Introduce Palestinian Culture in Doha


As part of the Palestinian Season events in Doha, director Mai Masri's film 3000 Nights will be screened within a series of events held from October of 2016 until May of 2017. The film will be screened on April 29th at 5:00 pm at Royal Plaza Cinema.

3000 Nights is a co-production between Jordan, Palestine, France, UAE, Qatar and Lebanon. MAD Solutions is in charge of the film's distribution in the Arab world. 3000 Nights tells the story of a young Palestinian school teacher who gives birth to her son in an Israeli prison, where she fights to protect him, survive and maintain hope. The film stars Maisa Abdelhadi, Nadera Omran, Raida Adon, Rakeen Saad, Abeer Haddad, Anahid Fayad, Haifa Al Agha, Khitam Edelbi and Hana Chamoun.

The Palestinian Season is a series of monthly cultural events organized by El Rozana youth group in Qatar between October of 2016 and May of 2017. The events aim to introduce Palestinian culture to the Qatari society in Doha drawing inspiration from the cultural diversity in the city and shedding light on Palestinian cultural openness in many countries around the world and on human heritage. Numerous Palestinian intellectuals and artists have taken part in the events featuring art, Palestinian storytelling, poetry, dabka, singing, theater, cinema, and held workshops on culture, art, and media.
